Im thinking...

... Lady GaGa is hot. No I dont like women, but I just find her sexy as hell - as a person, sexy in her talent, in her personality and that tiny waist she has doesn't hurt.
I watch her interviews and everything she says is so fresh and honest - without trying.
She kicks ass, and I am not even a die hard fan. So cool.

Now let's dance.

Playhouse

I was just wondering what is the difference between Playboy and Penthouse (I have NEVER seen a Penthouse magazine, yeah... really!)
Well...

Playboy is more sophisticated and adult magazine and has the prettiest girls in the world (most of the time) on its pages. If you daughter posed for Playboy you would not feel ashamed. The nudity in Playboy is TV nudity except for the vaginal shot, never any men posing with the women.Penthouse is NC-17 and the girls are the rejects from Playboy. The girls spread themselves, which in my opinion makes it a porno magazine.

Ice, ice, baby...

I was wondering that because I am such a good girl I have no idea what ICE is, I mean... I know its a drug but which kind?

Well...

What is "ice"? "Ice" is a street name for crystal methamphetamine hydrochloride, which is a powerful, synthetic stimulant drug. Ice often appears as large, transparent and "sheet-like" crystals but may also be coloured (often pink, blue or green). Other street names for ice include "meth", "crystal meth", "shabu" and "glass".

How is it used? Like other methamphetamines, ice is usually snorted, swallowed or inserted anally. It is also smoked or injected, producing a rapid onset of the drug's effects. Smoking or inhaling ice has become more common in Australia in recent times. Smokers use a glass pipe, while others heat the ice on aluminium foil and inhale it ("chasing"). Ice is usually sold in "points" (0.1 gram), due to its high purity.

What are the effects of ice? The effects of any drug (including ice) vary from person to person, depending on the individual's size, weight and health, how much and how the drug is taken, whether the person is used to taking it and whether other drugs are taken. Effects also depend on the environment in which the drug is used - such as whether the person is alone, with others or at a party.
Ice is a potent stimulant drug, which speeds up the activity of the central nervous system. Although few deaths have been reported in Australia as a direct result of using ice, it is considered more addictive and is associated with more significant physical, emotional and social harms than other types of amphetamines.

Ditto.

We all use it, we know what it means, or at least the instention why it is used.

But, of course, I have to know... WHERE DOES THIS TERM COME FROM?

Here is the explanantion:
"Ditto, which at first glance seems a handy and insignificant sort of word, actually has a Roman past, for it comes from dictus, “having been said,” the past participle of the verb dcere, “to say.”In Italian dcere became dire and dictus became detto, or in the Tuscan dialect ditto. Italian detto or ditto meant what said does in English, as in the locution “the said story.” Thus the word could be used in certain constructions to mean “the same as what has been said” for example, having given the date December 22, one could use 26 detto or ditto for 26 December. The first recorded use of ditto in English occurs in such a construction in 1625. The sense “copy” is an English development, first recorded in 1818.Ditto is a trademark for a duplicating machine."

-Ah yes, simple, right?. Remember I love you.
-Ah yeah, Ditto.

I like being touched.

Another french reference... you know the meaning "Touche", I mean you know what it implies. BUT where does it come from? Well, again, yes, its a French word.

Literaly it means "Touched" and its associated with the sport of fencing which means "touched" (aka "Ya got me!").When used in an everyday context, it is meant as a reluctant "You have a point..." or "You've got me there." As in -"I can't believe Jane's husband is divorcing her!""Well, she did cheat on him with 5 other guys, including his own brother.""Touche."

Jockey money

One of my favorites things to do is just chill in my local Sportsbook and but on the horse races. Win some, loss some. Love it. Well, I wanted to post what a Jockey makes $$$, here ya go:

"Most Jockeys make a very small amount per-rideand 10 % of the prize money.ie; TODAYS KENTUCKY DERBY # 1 winner will get like $200,000 for the day .. coz the prize is like $2 Mbut for the derby ther are bonuses also and endorsement offers from advertisers. At regular races if you win - and the purse (win jackpot) is $40,000 the jockey gets $4,000If the 2nd place prize is $10,000 the jockey makes $1,000if 3 rd place is $2500 he/she gets $250.The others ..settle for like $100. per mount..or so.Jockeys can ride for as many trainers/owners as they can negotiate a deal with. some jockey ride a horse in 8 or 9 sometimes all of a ten ( 10 ) race day at the track.the more wins a jockey starts to get - the more he is noticed by trainers who wish too hire him and the higher he can demand a higher "guaranteed $$ fee for riding".."

"Vegas, baby!"

Anybody who knows me... wait, scratch that. Anybody who has talked to me more than 10 minutes knows that my #1 obsession and favorite place in the whole world is Las Vegas.

Now, why do we say "Vegas, baby" ? Explanation right here:

The expression came from an old TV commercial for an now defunct discount organization called "Players Club". In the commercial, a popular TV personality, Telly Savalis (he played a tough detective named "Kojak" on a TV show by the same name) and part of his pitch was to explain where the Players Club card could be used. He said, "Its Vegas, Baby". It was a play on an expression he always used as detective Kojak. He would often say, "Who loves ya, Baby?"So, a lot of people started saying it then and still say it today but few remember the origin of it.

Interesting, right? Well there you have it baby.

Butterfly effect

Now that we are on the subject of butterflies... WTH does "Butterfly effect" mean?

Found looong and detailed concepts, but this one is the best: short and simple,,,

"The phenomenon whereby a small change at one place in a complex system can have large effects elsewhere, e.g., a butterfly flapping its wings in Rio de Janeiro might change the weather in Chicago"

Butterflies in my stomach

We all have used this phrase more than once, but what does it mean?

What happens to us, phisically?

"Butterflies in the stomach is a medical condition characterized by the physical sensation of a "fluttery" or "tickling" (hence butterflies) feeling in the stomach. Some believe that this is caused by the release of epinephrine, or adrenaline, when one is nervous, pulling blood away from the stomach and sending it to the muscles. This in turn causes the stomach to temporarily shut down, possibly the reason for loss of appetite when one is "love sick". Butterflies in the stomach is most often experienced prior to important events, when stress is induced, but can be experienced in situations of impending danger."

Dog twins?

Can puppies be twins?

Yes, dog twins do exist, but it's hard to tell unless you are watching the birth and see them sharing the birth "sac". Sheep and cows which usually have one baby per pregnancy, can also have twins, my brother in law lost some of his calves this past winter because they were twins an therefor small and wearer than their single birth counter parts. I have seen many double yolked eggs which if fertilized would be twins(if they could survive being egg mates). Twins is not just a human occurrence, it is just not as readily noticed in the canine world as dogs generally have more than one baby per pregnancy.

Do you drink Joe?

Have a cup of joe... why? call coffee, joe? Well this was the best answer I cam across with...

The Word Detective ( http://www.word-detective.com/041899.html ) is pretty much in agreement. WorldWideWords agrees with the Word Detective, who suggests that "joe" as slang for coffee might be derived from "Joe" as a synonym for "the common man," as in "regular joe." They do differ on whether "GI Joe" for enlisted men was in use at that ttime. Even if it wasn't, US citizens jhad been using "the common Joe" and other such phrases for a whle when the ft instance of joe for coffee is written.

There's a shark in my soup

Love it so much.
Dont know if I get the real deal in my favorite local Chinnese restaurant (will ask next time).

Shark fin soup (or shark's fin soup) is a chinese soup that has been a popular item of
Chinese cuisine since the Ming Dynasty[1], usually served at special occasions such as weddings and banquets, or as a luxury item in Chinese culture
Genuine shark fin soup or stew is made with shark fins obtained from any of a variety of shark species. Raw shark fins are processed by first removing the skin, trimming them to shape, and thoroughly drying them

Shark fin soup may cause sterility in men due to mercury content.[31]
Because of its high mercury level, the FDA recommends pregnant women and young children avoid eating shark fins

Suicide

I had no idea these girls existed, until I saw them on a CSI: NY re-run

SuicideGirls is a website that features softcore pin-up-style photos and text profiles of goth, punk and indie-styled young women (although styles reminiscent of the 1940s and '50s pin-up models are also incorporated) who themselves are known as the "Suicide Girls". The site also functions as an online community with member profiles and message boards, and features interviews with major figures in both popular and alternative culture. Access to most of the site requires a paid membership.
And yes, I think they are hot - weird, but hot. And no I am not a les. Or bi for that matter.
Was wondering about Bungee jumping... how many people have reportedly died practicing it?
Well didnt find an exact number, only rumors. Wikianswers says: "As of 2008 2,300 world-wide deaths have been reported" -

Found articles:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-135227/Man-dies-bungee-jump-accident.html
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/19766945/
http://www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0194157.html

And also found this vid: http://www.metacafe.com/watch/37312/a_fatal_jump/ the guy didnt die though.

Would you bungee? Me? No thanks.

A little history for you fellas:

Bungee Jumping today is a modernised version of an ancient rite of manhood performed in the Pentecost Islands in the South Pacific. Young men jump from specially constructed bamboo towers with vines attached to their ankles to break their fall.

Modern day Bungee Jumping now utilises special purpose harnesses and very strong elastic cords. The world's first commercial Bungee Jump was opened in central New Zealand about a decade ago.
